There is no Ganges in India!!

The Ganga flows through most of India, energizing its heart. Its name changed with time and worldwide trade. The Ganges is the river’s French name worldwide. This seemingly little adjustment underscores India’s ongoing efforts to accommodate its foreign neighbors, even if it means compromising its culture.

This is not limited to river names. The practicing of Yog can illuminate this question. Yog, a practice with thousands of years of history, originated in India’s religious and cultural traditions. Sanskrit names are used to refer to yoga poses or asanas. As yog gained popularity worldwide, its titles were reduced. Mountain Pose / Tadasana and Corpse Pose / Savasana, etc. This adjustment wasn’t just about translation; it was meant to make the exercise more Western-friendly.

India has always allowed many thoughts and opinions. This makes people more open and adaptable. India has often been the first to offer trade, culture, or diplomacy to build new partnerships. Flexible and open are the foundations of Indian culture. It appears in the country’s language, cuisine, and aesthetics.

However, adaptability is a double-edged sword. It shows India’s kindness and tolerance. However, it underlines the subtle need to fit into a global myth, even if it means sacrificing oneself. The simplicity of “Ganga” “Ganges” and “Yogabhayas” symbolizes India’s efforts to make itself universally appealing. The core of the item is sometimes lost in friendliness.

It is becoming clear that India is entering a new period of technological advancement, economic growth, and cultural pride. The “land of contrasts,” is finally supporting an idea that has been neglected for too long. Since India is becoming more important in technology and the arts worldwide, it is essential to recover its story. The term “Vishwaguru,” meaning “world leader,” goes beyond politics and business. An all-encompassing future where India’s culture, ethos, and values lead.

Today’s global community is more interconnected than ever. Internet connectivity has increased global communication. In today’s interconnected society, tolerance and acceptance are crucial. Sincerity is key here. India can re-emerge as a “Vishwaguru” without watering down its identity to suit the world. Instead, it can invite the world to see its genuine essence.

The sacred Ganga flows majestically through India, providing life and wealth. As India evolves, the world may want to embrace the ‘Ganga’ and everything it signifies. Indian River need not be named the “Ganges.”
